UPE’s career fair / resume workshop will focus on giving students helpful hints to make the most of their resume and their limited time at the career fair. We believe this is a necessity because we hear so many stories of students entering the career fair who immediately become overwhelmed and end up spending 2-3 hours at the fair with no successful results which often turns them away from future career fairs. Our workshop is really tailored to students writing their first resume as we help give them suggestions on what to put on a resume and what not to put on one. Students tend to find this really useful starting off as they tend to feel like they don’t have anything to put on their resume. Although we focus a lot on helping the creation of a first resume, we do provide information for juniors and seniors on how to spruce up their resumes as well. This event will be open to both UPE members and the general UCLA CS and CSE population.
