Join Zach Rash, UCLA alumnus and Co-founder of Coco, a leading robot delivery company, to discuss his path from the robotics research lab to founding and scaling Coco as CEO. This talk explores the challenges of translating the innovation that happens in a research lab into viable products that solve real customer problems, and how to think about growing those into profitable and scalable businesses. Zach will discuss his experience building Coco, and share learnings around customer research, product market fit, economics, supply chain, regulatory partnerships, and more.

ABSTRACT:

Zach Rash is the CEO and Co-founder of Coco, the robot food delivery service that’s taking LA by storm. Zach and his co-founder Brad first met at UCLA, where they bonded over a shared passion for robotics. At UCLA, they spent their time running research projects at the Connected and Autonomous Electric Vehicles (CAEV) consortium, where the first incarnation of what became Coco was set into motion. Coco is backed by OpenAI’s Sam Altman, Founders Fund, and others and most recently closed a $56M Series A.
