Abstract:
Every year, hundreds of startups launch, and nearly as many fail. The reason is rarely a lack of great technology, talent, or innovative features. So why do so many products and startups fail? Bio:
Professor Carey Nachenberg is an adjunct professor in UCLA’s Computer Science department. In industry, Carey has worked across multiple industries – from designing and building self-driving vehicles at Lyft Level 5 to launching cyber-security startups at Google and designing antivirus software at Symantec. Carey earned his BS and MS in Computer Science from UCLA in 1995. Carey is also a published author – check out his techno-thriller, The Florentine Deception.
