
Stefani Olcott

Stefani earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from UCLA in 2004 and 2005, respectively, and brings extensive experience in software engineering and development, particularly in managing and leading teams to deliver large-scale systems. She has been with Sandia for over 20 years and began her career after completing Sandia’s One Year On Campus Master’s program (now called Critical Skills Recruiting). Her initial work as technical staff involved development and deployment of a complex satellite ground system, and she
subsequently led efforts for a web application for planning and data dissemination across multiple domains for
national security missions. In 2018, Stefani served as the Manager of the Next Generation Systems and Solutions
organization for six years, overseeing a team of software engineers and developers who partner to accelerate
applied R&D and software solutions across Sandia’s mission areas. In 2024, she started the new Software and
System Resilience department, serving as a Cybersecurity Manager overseeing teams responsible for vulnerability
management and red teaming assessments for the Sandia enterprise. More recently, in 2025, Stefani was promoted to Senior Manager of the Advanced Solutions Engineering group, where she manages a group composed of five departments specializing in system administration, project management, mission computing, software architecture and engineering, and cybersecurity research and development.
As the UCLA Campus Executive since 2024, Stefani represents Sandia’s broad national security research interests and is dedicated to strengthening our institutional partnerships with the university. Through talent pipelines,
recruiting, world-class facilities, and advanced capabilities and research, Sandia offers opportunities for significant technical advancement, exciting research directions, and technology transfer creation. Finally, in her role as Campus Executive, Stefani will champion the mutual collaborative interests and engage with UCLA faculty and leadership ensuring continued success of this partnership.
