Professor Leonard Kleinrock was recently the recipient of two honors: he is the first UCLA Computer Science professor to be inducted into the National Academy of Inventors, and he was presented with the key to Los Angeles by Mayor Garcetti, an honor normally reserved for film and rock stars in Los Angeles like Vin Scully (long time sportscaster for the Dodgers) and Zooey Deschanel. Mendel Rosenblum, of Stanford of VMWare fame, was also a inducted into the National Academy of Inventors.
