Professor Leonard Kleinrock is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (May 2016).  His award reads: “In recognition of his pioneering contributions to our understanding of the mathematical theory of packet networks, the technology underpinning the Internet, that has transformed the world and is deeply inspirational to our students.”

This is Len’s 8th honorary doctorate. Others are from CCNY (1997), U. Mass-Amherst (2000), U. Bologna (2005), Polytechnic U. of Turin (2005), U. of Judaism (2007), Technion–Israel Institute of Technology (2010), and Concordia U., Montreal (2013).
