Congratulations to Professor Jason Cong and his co-authors on the induction of their paper, “Optimizing Field-Programmable Gate Array-Based Accelerator Design for Deep Convolutional Neural Networks,” into the FPGA and Reconfigurable Computing Hall of Fame (Class of 2025) by the ACM SIGDA Technical Committee on FPGA and Reconfigurable Computing.
Originally published at the 23rd International Symposium on FPGA in 2015, this work was co-authored by Chen Zhang, Peng Li, Guangyu Sun, Yijin Guan, and Bingjun Xiao. It introduced the first FPGA acceleration of deep neural networks and significantly influenced the field of reconfigurable computing. As of the end of 2024, the paper has amassed over 2,500 citations, underscoring its lasting impact.
This marks the fifth paper co-authored by Professor Jason Cong to receive this prestigious recognition.
