Professor Amit Sahai’s 2005 paper won the 2020 IACR Test of Time Award. This award is given to one research paper from CRYPTO and Eurocrypt conferences 15 years after publication.
Professor Amit Sahai and Brent Waters, his Ph.D. student at Princeton University, authored the paper, titled “Fuzzy Identity-Based Encryption.” Because it allows the luxury of hindsight — unlike standard best paper awards in yearly conferences, Test of Time Awards have emerged as a coveted way of judging the best papers in a field.
