The Computer Science Department is immensely pleased to announce that faculty member Judea Pearl has received  an honorary degree—Doctor of Engineering & Technology—from Yale University. Judea received this honor on May 21st at Yale’s 2018 commencement ceremony.

The highest honor that Yale bestows is an honorary degree. Recipients have included scholars, artists, public servants, Nobel Prize winners, and heads of state.  Yale’s honorary degree recipients serve as models of excellence and service to students, graduates, community, and to the world.

This is Judea’s fifth honorary doctorate, and we extend our warmest congratulations!
