Computer Science PhD Student Haik Kalantarian is the recipient of this year’s Edward K. Rice Outstanding Doctoral Student Award. This is a significant achievement—the award is presented to only one UCLA engineering PhD student per year.
The Rice Award honors achievements of distinguished doctoral students who received their degree in the most recently completed academic year. Selected candidates are those who reflect academic and research excellence, leadership, and service to the school, university or community.
