The upcoming International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM), to be held in July 2022 in St. Petersburg, Russia, will feature Professor Amit Sahai. The ICM invited Professor Sahai to deliver a lecture about his breakthrough work in indistinguishability obfuscation. It is the most prestigious venue in mathematics and awards the Fields Medals every four years.

Previously, Professor Sahai’s work on indistinguishability obfuscation has been widely celebrated in the press, and it has been awarded a Best Paper Award at STOC 2021. Not only has Professor Sahai been invited to give a tutorial regarding his work on indistinguishability obfuscation at FOCS 2020, but a Simons workshop, and a “lifetime accomplishments of significant scholars” talk at Harvard’s Center for Mathematical Sciences and Applications (CMSA).
