CRYPTO and EUROCRYPT are the two flagship Cryptography conferences in the world. Professor Ostrovsky, jointly with two colleagues from Georgia Tech–David Heath and Vlad Kolesnikov–has been awarded the best paper award for Eurocrypt 2022. Their paper, titled “EpiGRAM: Practical Garbled RAM,” was selected by the Eurocrypt 2022 Program Committee. Garbled RAM is a fundamental cryptographic primitive for executing Garbled Random Access Memory (or GRAM) Programs. GRAM was invented by Lu and Ostrovsky in 2013. Their paper shows how to make the first practical implementation of this fundamental primitive.
