Kevin Tan, a current fourth-year Computer Science student and the president of UCLA Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), was awarded the prestigious 2019 UPE/ACM Scholarship Award. The award recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence in the computing and information disciplines and their distinguished commitment to ACM at their respective academic institutions. As the president, Kevin works with the department to further improve the world-class curriculum and is currently in the process of proposing a new lower-division computer science course.
