My research interests are mainly on mobility support in Internet. As of today, one can say with confidence that there are probably more people accessing the Internet with mobile devices (e.g. laptops, smart phones ) than the static devices via wired network. Although this is a potentially huge market, there is essentially no commercial mobility support services in the Internet yet. Although the cellular network is currently providing the largest mobility support service, and the cellular network operators are working hard to improve their service, the cellular model lacks the open access and open architecture that we believe are the key for the future mobility support (consdier the history of the Internet!).
My research activity on this area is primitive at this stage. I surveyed almost all the existing mobility support design and did some simulation work. And now I'm trying to find a concrete problem to work on. I'd appreciate any suggestion and I hope that I can collaborate with people who are also interested in mobility support.
