  1. Collision detection and resolution. The project involves the study and implementation of existing collision detection
    and resolution methods for polygonal objects.
  2. Deformable model simulation. Develop a B-spline free-form deformation system based on an earlier
    piece of work.
  3. Create a 3D head model and associated controller handles for animation.
  4. Explosion simulation.
  5. Hair simulation.
  6. Automatic sound effects for simulation. Footsteps, clapping etc.
  7. Cloth simulation. Adding cloth simulation in an existing software system.
  8. Controller Design. Develop controllers for the physics-based animation of stunts. (multiple projects)
    Examples: Back Flip, Front Flip, Kip, Step, Bend, Dance
  9. Port a physics-based simulator from Irix to Linux.
  10. Develop a human skin shader.
  11. Develop a skin model for articulated objects. The project might involve hardware acceleration using the advanced
    features of modern video cards.
  12. Develop a hair model. (Head or body)
  13. Simulator for a fruit fly
  14. Implement the Motion Graphs paper SIGGRAPh 2002.
