Announcements

The homepage http://www.cs.ucla.edu/~pfal/courses/cs174/2002f is the official place for
announcements concerning the course, such as extentions, schedule changes, changes in office hours etc.

October 02: ROOM CHANGE. The lectures will be given at BH 5440 starting October 2.

October 02: There will be no office hours.

October 04: There will be no discussion session.

October 14: Only for this day office hours are moved to 9:30am-10:30am.

October 21: (a) Sumbit the assmt1 using the submit command on seas. If you do not
have a seas account you can e-mail it to the TA AND hand in a printed copy of your
code. For the next assmt you have to get a seas account.
(b) Late assmts are penalized by 10%. A day ends at 5:00pm. The LAST day to sumbit
a late assignment is Thursday by 5:00pm. After that the solutions will be posted.

October 30: Emud will hold office hours 9-10:30am in Boelter 4428.

November 1: Emud will not hold office hours because they have been moved to October 30th.

November 18: Late assignments 2 will be accepted until 5pm with a penalty of 10% per day.

November 11: The solutions of the midterm are now online, see below.

The new due date for assmt 3 is December 4 by 5:00pm.

November 24: A sample ratraced imaged has been posed at the coursework section.

November 24: READ the FAQ for a3 to see an important announcement by the TA.

December 7: FINAL: One page cheat-sheet means ONE page. Front and back would be

two pages.

Marking scheme

*Important* To pass the course you must complete successfuly 40% of the assignments at the
minimum. In other words, your assignments must contribute at minimum 18% towards your final grade.
