About

Ryuzo Okada is a researcher in the field of computer vision. He is a visiting research scientist in Vision Laboratory of UCLA Computer Science Department from Corporate R&D Center of Toshiba Corporation. His adviser is Prof. Stefano Soatto.

BRIEF BIO.
Ryuzo Okada received B.E. and M.E. degrees in mechanical engineering from Osaka University in 1995 and 1996, respectively, and finished his study at the graduate school of the same university in 1999, receiving D. Eng. degree. He joined Toshiba Corporation in 1999 and was involved in research on computer vision including optical flow estimation, obstacle detection for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), and articulated object tracking. He contines his research on computer vision at UCLA from 2006 as a visiting scholar. He is a member of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.
