PlanetLab

While I was at UC Irvine, I enjoyed much time playing with PlanetLab testbed.
Here is a simple instruction describing how to do experiments on PL nodes.

DeterLab

DeterLab is a good network testbed environment to perform network level experiments. You cannot change the linux kernel code in Planetlab. However in DeterLab, it is flexible enough in that aspect, and you can pretty much do anything to the machines and configure the network topology anyway you want. During 12/2006~01/2007, I did some DDoS experiments using DeterLab.

Seminars Fall 2007

Uichin Lee from Network Research Lab at UCLA formed a reading group on papers published in Sigcomm 2007 and Mobicom 2007.

Seminars Summer 2006

During the summer 2006, Prof. Xiaowei Yang held talk sessions on the papers published in SIGCOMM 2006.
It was a good opportunity to catch up on the recent research topics.
