Research

In general, I am interested in embedded systems design with particular focus on architecture design, light-weight embedded systems and hybrid optimization algorithms (power and reliability). Furthermore, I am pursuing research on TeleHealth, emphasizing on infrastructure design, applications and algorithm design for medical applications. More complete description of my research can be found in my research statement. My research directions include:

  • Wireless Health
    • Health Monitoring Infrastructure: Design, development and optimization of collaborative wireless medical systems
    • Collaborative Signal Processing: Quantification of physiological information, medical applications, sensor networks and scalable platforms
    • Physiological Information Analysis: Modeling, classification and behaviotal analysis of bioinformatics
  • Embedded and Reconfigurable Systems
    • Reliability-Aware Design and Optimization: Hybrid optimization, fault tolerance through reconfiguration
    • Reconfigurable Computing: Dynamic/partial hardware reconfiguration, applications, design techniques for platforms with heterogeneous computational resources
  • Algorithm Design and Computation Models
    • Constant Model of Computation: Computational model paradigm for lightweight, resource constraint systems
    • Distributed Network Algorithms: Graph and network algorithms for sensor networks, ad-hoc wireless networks and cyber-infrastructures
