Career Paths

The Computational & Systems Biology Major is appropriate preparation for employment or for graduate studies in any of the concentration areas, with emphasis on interdisciplinary activities. It is especially geared toward interdisciplinary computational, biosystems/systems biology training of research-oriented students, preparing them for graduate/postgraduate studies and research. It is also appropriate preparation for professional school studies in medicine, public health, dentistry, business, engineering and law.

Several graduates have been admitted to the country's top-ranking medical and dental schools. Local industry also has been receptive to our graduates. For example, some have become members of the professional technical staff in systems analysis or computer-related activities, and others have found work in the health sciences and bioengineering industry.
