Roderick Son is a Data Science Technical Fellow at Northrop Grumman, a global aerospace and defense technology company.  Within the Chief Data Office, he currently leads activities supporting corporate executive intelligence.  He has over 15 years of experience in the information technology industry with specialized experience in operations, as well as medical and public health informatics.

Roderick is a former recruiter for Northrop Grumman’s Future Technical Leaders (FTL) rotational program, a recruiting and professional development opportunity for graduating M.S. and Ph.D. engineers, scientists and mathematicians, aimed at identifying and investing in Northrop Grumman’s next generation of technologists and leaders.

His primary focus areas include business and global supply chain optimization, healthcare episode creation, clinical natural language processing, pattern classification, data analytics and business intelligence.

He received his B.S. and M.A. in Applied Mathematics and B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
