Dr. Chock has been a Member of the Technical Staff for the last three years at BAE SYSTEMS, formerly Marconi Astronics, formerly Lear Astronics. She is currently working on process improvement for Information Technology. Earlier tasks included Year 2000 compliance projects, management of assorted projects, and emergency management of the Business Systems department.

Before that she headed a small consulting firm specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for several years, developing systems and software in a variety of languages for PC’s, workstations, minicomputers, and mainframes.

She has an M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA (1978 and 1982 respectively), and a B.A. in Anthropology and one in Mathematics from U.C. Santa Barbara (1965 and 1967).

Dr. Chock has at various times been a board member or officer of AITP (DPMA at the time), ACM, Independent Computer Consultans Association (past President, Los Angeles Chapter), IEEE, Institute of Management Consultants (Certified 1992), League of Women Voters, Southern California Computer-Aided Mapping Association, UCLA Engineering Alumni, and the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association.
