Dr. Behzad Zamanzadeh

Dr. Zamanzadeh is currently Director of Technology at Reuters’ El Segundo development center where he establishes the technical strategy and has led the efforts for software development and technology solutions for leading brokerage and trading firms. Ben has pioneered the Web Based products within Reuters and his innovative approach in reducing Total Cost of Ownership has been instrumental in the growth of Reuters’ market share in US equities.

As Vice President of Engineering and head of software development, Ben has participated in high tech startups in the area of Internet based services, Information Commerce, Financial Intelligence, Optical Networks, and Voice over IP. He currently serves as a member of the advisory board for privately held technology companies such as Best data Products and Cyber Sciences Inc.

Previously, he was the head of Industrial Research and Development at Teledyne Controls, where he led the development of several advance avionics systems for NASA and commercial airlines. He has been Chief Consulting Engineer at Teradata/NCR/AT&T and Integrated Decision Systems/CheckFree.

Ben holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA, where he worked with Internet/ARPAnet pioneers. He has received a joint Masters degree in Computer Science and MBA from UCLA and BS in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Zamanzadeh has received several patents and awards for his work in Internet, Financial and Avionics systems.
