1999 NSF Information and Data Management Workshop:
Research Agenda for the 21st Century
March 7-9, 1999
|
On March 7-9, 1999, the Information and Data Management Workshop
will be held on the campus of the
University of California, Los Angeles, (UCLA),
at the Covelle Commons conference center. This workshop
will bring together PI's and CO-PI's from grants funded by the
Information and Data Management
Program of the National Science Foundation
, along with attendees from government, industry and foundations, and invited speakers.
Goals of the Workshop
- to convene members of the active research community in an
environment that entices us to interact and share in a highly
focussed and productive way.
- to enable funded researchers to both evaluate the efficacy of the
program as it stands and, more importantly, to help influence future
directions for funding.
- to provide an opportunity for other funding agencies, foundations and industry invitees
to find out what active research is under way under the NSF IDM program.
- to enhance synergism and collaboration between the various disciplines and organizations
