Congratulations to computer science Ph.D. students Ruirui Li, Chelsea J-T. Ju, Jyun-Yu Jiang, and their advisor, Professor Wei Wang.  These three graduate students recently participated in Round 9 of the Yelp Dataset Challenge. Their paper—“CORALS: Who are My Potential New Customers? Tapping into the Wisdom of Customers’ Decisions”—received the Grand Prize for best paper and was deemed “very insightful” by the judging panel.

The Grand Prize includes a cash award, an invitation to visit the Yelp offices in the Bay Area and possible intern and full-time engineering opportunities.
