Dates and time: Thursdays (and possibly some Tuesdays) from January 8th through March 16th, 4:00 - 5:45pm; **refreshments at 4:00pm and the talk at 4:15PM

Requirements: All MS and PHD graduate students in CS are required to enroll in three quarters of CS201. At the end of the quarter, each student must turn in a half-page to one-page summary of four of the presentations during that quarter.

**Summaries for a CS239 or any other seminar will NOT be accepted.**

**Summaries for CAREER PANELS, SURVIVING GRAD SCHOOL, or INTRO TO THE LIBRARY will NOT be accepted.**

Turn in these 4 separate summaries in a single email message to cs201@cs.ucla.edu by Wednesday, March 17th, by midnight. Please indicate 'CS201 Summaries' in the email subject. Please include the seminar title, speaker name and seminar date in each summary heading. Here are some review examples:

Please remember that a verbatim copy of the posted abstract constitutes PLAGIARISM and will be processed accordingly. Students need to write the summary in their own words.

**Please DO NOT send your summaries as attachments - send them in the body of the e-mail.**

The grade of Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory will be assigned for the CS201 course. You are expected to attend all session meetings.

No readings or homework will be assigned, except for the four lecture summaries at the end of the quarter. Speakers will not provide written materials or copies of presentation slides, with some possible exceptions.
