- Formal Semantics of rule-based and relational query languages
- Expressive power and data complexity issues
- Data-Intensive Reasoning techniques, languages and systems.
Temporal Queries and Reasoning: (Week 3,4)
- The structure of time and temporal data types

Active Databases (Week 5, 6):
