Scope:

Optical Networks Magazine (ONM) has been established to provide a
technical and business forum for this fast-growing area. ONM will be
an international, archival, peer-reviewed magazine covering optical
technologies as applicable to telecommunications and networking,
their interdependencies, and applications. It will serve as a
comprehensive and timely source of information for managers,
practitioners, and researchers with an active interest in this newly
forming community. 

ONM will publish refereed articles and special issues on relevant
topics, including: optical network architectures, WDM networks, IP
and ATM over WDM, optical Internets, LAN, MAN, and access
networks, host and network interfaces, optical interconnects,
protocols for optical networks, switching and photonic
telecommunications technologies, WDM systems and technologies,
optical infrastructures, billing and operations systems, optical network
design, deployment, technologies for transition and convergence of
services, network management and scalability, traffic and performance
monitoring, characterization of traffic patterns, QoS characterization
and monitoring, modeling of optical telecommunication subnetworks
and systems, testing, testbeds, and CAD tools for optical networks,
policy issues, standardization, economic and regulatory issues, societal
impacts.
