I am currently enrolled in the PhD program at the Computer Science Department in UCLA. My research interests are in the areas of distributed and ubiquitous systems and computer networks; for the past one year, I have been working in active networks.
I joined UCLA in September, 2001. Prior to that, I completed my undergraduate study in Computer Science (for a B.Tech degree) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur in India. I am now a member of the LASR (Laboratory for Advanced Systems Research) research group. My adviser is Dr. Peter Reiher.
Aside from my academic activities, I am a huge sports buff. Some of my favourite sports include cricket, soccer and tennis. Other than sports, I love to explore new places, and like to go hiking as often as I can . History (ancient, medieval and modern) is another of my favourite subjects.
